Genoa's Serie A home clash with Juventus will proceed without fans on Saturday, a consequence of crowd trouble surrounding a recent Italian Cup derby.
Friday's decision follows violent altercations between Genoa and Sampdoria supporters, leading to over 50 injuries, including 41 police officers attempting to manage the chaos.
Most of the violence erupted post-match, which Serie B team Sampdoria clinched on penalties. As a result, Genoa's stadium will remain fan-free, with Sampdoria expected to receive similar sanctions for an upcoming home game against Juve Stabia on Oct. 4.
