Shakib Al Hasan Admits Touring India is the Toughest Test for Bangladesh
Shakib Al Hasan, Bangladesh's star all-rounder, acknowledged the difficulties of facing India in Test cricket, citing the host nation's dominance. Bangladesh is yet to win a Test against India since their first encounter in 2000. Despite recent successes, Shakib emphasized the need for improved performance.
Star Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan on Thursday acknowledged that travelling to India represents the toughest Test assignment. He emphasized that pitch conditions are irrelevant due to the sheer quality of the Indian team.
Since 2000, Bangladesh has failed to secure a Test win against India, with the teams having faced off 14 times. India emerged victorious in 12 of those contests, with the remaining two ending in draws.
Shakib compared the challenge of facing India to that of other teams, noting that defeating India in India is an exceptional achievement, as their dominance at home is unparalleled.
