Star-Studded Hero Women’s Indian Open Set for October Showdown

A star-studded line-up of top Indian and international golfers, including seven winners from the current Ladies European Tour (LET) season, is set to compete in the Hero Women's Indian Open at the DLF Golf and Country Club next month. The tournament, running from October 24 to 27, boasts a prize pool of USD 400,000.

Founded in 2007, the tournament continues to attract a strong lineup of Indian talent, building on last year's impressive showing with three Indian golfers finishing in the top 10. Notable competitors include former champions Christine Wolf (2019), Camille Chevalier (2017), and Caroline Hedwall (2011). The field also features winners from both the 2023 and 2024 seasons.

The Indian Open has notably launched the careers of many golfers who have gone on to achieve success on the LPGA Tour. Past champions include Laura Davies and Yani Tseng, who secured victory in the inaugural event in 2007 before ascending to World No. 1.

This year's competition includes a talented trio from England: Annabel Dimmock, Alice Hewson, and Amy Taylor. Other notable participants are France's Perrine Delacour, Belgium's Manon De Roey, Switzerland's Chiara Tamburlini, and Singapore's Shannon Tan.

In 2016, Aditi Ashok made history as the first Indian to win the Hero Women's Indian Open. More recently, Amandeep Drall and Diksha Dagar have kept the Indian hopes alive with top finishes in recent years.
