Tamil Nadu Paralympians Rewarded by Chief Minister M K Stalin

Chief Minister M K Stalin awarded incentive cheques ranging from Rs 1 to Rs 2 crore to four Paralympic medal winners from Tamil Nadu. The winners included Thulasimathi, Nithya Sri, Manisha, and Mariyappan for their achievements in the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

In a momentous occasion on Wednesday, Chief Minister M K Stalin bestowed incentive cheques between Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore upon four distinguished Paralympics medal winners from Tamil Nadu.

Under the Para-badminton (women) medal winners category, Stalin presented a Rs 2 crore cheque to Thulasimathi for her Silver medal, and Rs 1 crore each to Nithya Sri and Manisha for their Bronze medals. Mariyappan, the men's high jump Bronze medalist, also received a cheque worth Rs 1 crore from the Chief Minister.

The ceremony, held at the Secretariat, was attended by Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin along with other top officials to honor the remarkable achievements of these athletes.
