PV Sindhu Adds South Korean Legend Lee Hyun Il to Coaching Team
Double Olympic medallist PV Sindhu has appointed South Korean badminton legend Lee Hyun Il as her consulting coach on an interim basis. Joining Anup Sridhar, the new coaching duo aims to prepare Sindhu for upcoming tournaments. Sindhu will return to competitive action at the Finland and Denmark Opens in October.

Double Olympic medallist shuttler PV Sindhu has appointed South Korean badminton legend Lee Hyun Il as her consulting coach on an interim basis.
This move complements the recent inclusion of Anup Sridhar as part of Sindhu's coaching team. Both Hyun Il and Sridhar will guide Sindhu until December 2024, by which time a permanent coaching team is expected to be finalized.
Sindhu is set to make her competitive return in the Finland Open and Denmark Open, both scheduled for October. Hyun Il, a former world No. 1 with vast international experience, brings meticulous preparation and a respected reputation to the team. His accolades include a bronze medal at the 2006 world championships and two Asian Games team gold medals.
