Sahil Parakh's aggressive unbeaten century led the India Under-19 team to a decisive nine-wicket victory over Australia on Monday, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match youth ODIs.
Parakh, who scored 109 not out off 75 balls, including 14 fours and 5 sixes, made what seemed like a challenging target of 177 in just 22 overs achievable for India. India had previously won the first match by seven wickets.
After the early wicket of Rudra Patel (10), Parakh formed an unbroken 153-run partnership with Abhigyan Kundu (53 not out) to comfortably take their side to victory. Earlier in the day, effective bowling by Samarth Nagaraj, Mohammed Enaan, and Kiran Chormale restricted Australia to 176. Australian batter Addison Sheriff was the top-scorer with 39 runs off 61 balls.
