Mussoorie Thunders showcased their prowess, securing an eight-wicket victory over Pithoragarh Hurricanes in a do-or-die clash, thus booking their place in the Women's Uttarakhand Premier League final. The knockout game on Friday determined who would join Nainital SG Pipers in Saturday's grand finale.

A disciplined bowling display set the foundation for Mussoorie's triumph, complemented by a stellar batting effort led by Nandini Kashyap. Chasing 120, openers Shagun Chaudhary and Anjali Goswami capitalized on the powerplay effectively. By the sixth over, they had taken their team to 40 for no loss, a steady start that built momentum for the chase.

Neelam Bhardwaj's breakthrough, dismissing Chaudhary for 27, brought Nandini Kashyap to the crease. Kashyap's aggressive 50 off 28 balls drove Mussoorie to victory, despite occasional setbacks. Earlier, Pithoragarh's 119/7 was hindered by Mussoorie's regular wickets, with standout performances from Mansi Joshi and Prema Rawat, each claiming two key wickets. (ANI)
