AS Roma have terminated head coach Daniele De Rossi's contract after the team's failure to secure a win in their first four league matches this season, the Serie A club announced on Wednesday.

De Rossi, a former Roma player who spent almost two decades at the club, took the helm in January replacing Jose Mourinho. Despite signing a contract extension until 2027 in June, his tenure ended abruptly due to poor results.

Roma, who managed only a late equalizer to draw 1-1 at Genoa over the weekend, have just three points from four games. The team will host Udinese on Sunday.
