Ravichandran Ashwin Unveils Anthem for American Gambits

Ravichandran Ashwin, co-owner of the Global Chess League team American Gambits, digitally launched their anthem 'Make The World Go'. The team, led by Grand Master Hikaru Nakamura, aims to showcase bold and strategic play. The anthem, composed by Charan Raj, symbolizes unity and intensity.

Veteran Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin has introduced the anthem for his Global Chess League (GCL) team, the American Gambits, in a digital launch, emphasizing the team's bold approach to the game. The anthem, titled 'Make The World Go', was revealed on Ashwin's social media.

The team, co-owned by Ashwin alongside entrepreneur Prachura PP and ex-CEO of Prestige Group, Venkat K Narayana, is captained by world number two Grand Master Hikaru Nakamura. The anthem, a creation of renowned music director Charan Raj and performed by Karthik Chennojirao of Pineapple Express, mirrors the team's strategic depth and zeal.

Highlighting the anthem's significance, Ashwin remarked, 'For us, chess is about bringing out the best on the board. Driven by passion and strategic thinking, we aim to popularize and promote chess globally. The anthem embodies our fearless spirit and quest for triumph.'

The American Gambits include star players like Jan-Krzysztof Duda, Vladislav Artemiev, Bibisara Assaubayeva, Elisabeth Paehtz, and young prodigy Jonas Buhl Bjerre. Guidance comes from Dronacharya Awardee coach RB Ramesh. Hikaru Nakamura added, 'Chess demands precision and fearlessness. This season, we're ready to push boundaries to claim victory.' The GCL is a collaborative effort by Tech Mahindra and International Chess Federation (FIDE) and will run from October 3 to 12 in London.
