Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, has urged retired sportspersons nationwide to enroll in the newly launched 'Retired Sportsperson Empowerment Training' (RESET) Programme. The announcement was made today in celebration of National Sports Day.

Emphasizing the government's dedication, Mandaviya stated, 'The RESET Programme is an essential initiative to honor and empower our retired athletes who have brought glory to the nation. We encourage all retired sportspersons to seize this opportunity to acquire new skills, stay active within the sports community, and continue their invaluable contribution to India's sports legacy.'

Designed to support the career development of retired athletes, the RESET Programme aims to connect generations by allowing retired athletes' expertise to aid young sports talents. Collaboration with the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) will facilitate online learning, on-ground training, internships, and provide placement and entrepreneurial guidance. Applications are open on https://lnipe.edu.in/resetprogram/ for eligible athletes who have won international medals or earned national recognition.
