Star Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya sparked fresh rumors regarding his return to Test cricket by sharing a video of himself bowling with a red ball during a training session in England.

The 30-year-old cricketer, who hasn't played a Test match since September 2018 due to injury and subsequent surgery, posted a series of Instagram stories that have garnered significant interest. Pandya declined to play in the 2023 World Test Championship final against Australia to not displace a regular player, yet he remains India's premier pace-bowling all-rounder.

The newly surfaced video suggests Pandya may be ramping up his preparation ahead of the Bangladesh T20 series in October. However, it remains unclear if he has communicated his Test cricket intentions to the team management, according to a senior BCCI source. Pandya has participated in two competitive T20 games since the World Cup final in June. His potential return to the Test arena will depend on whether he plays domestic red-ball cricket for Baroda, especially after skipping the Duleep Trophy.
