Six Sri Lankan cricketers have achieved new career-high ratings on the latest ICC Men's Test Rankings after securing a historic victory over England in the third Test at The Oval. This win marks Sri Lanka's first Test triumph over England on their home turf.

Leading the charge, skipper Dhananjaya de Silva top-scored with 69 runs in the first innings, propelling him to a career-best rating and 13th spot overall. Teammates Kamindu Mendis and Pathum Nissanka also climbed the rankings, with Mendis moving to 19th and Nissanka leaping to 39th.

Despite England's loss, Joe Root retains the number-one Test batter ranking, though his rating dipped to 899 points. Stand-in captain Ollie Pope saw significant gains, rising to 27th with a century, and Jamie Smith moved to 30th. Sri Lanka's bowlers also shone, with Vishwa Fernando climbing to 31st and Lahiru Kumara and Milan Rathnayake making notable gains.

In T20I rankings, Australia's Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis rose to 17th and 23rd respectively after a series sweep against Scotland. Spinner Adam Zampa advanced to seventh, while Scotland's Bradley Currie improved to 49th. (ANI)
