An 89th-minute defensive mix-up resulted in a 1-1 tie with New Zealand in a friendly match on Tuesday night, just 30 minutes after U.S. Soccer announced Pochettino's hiring to lead the team through the 2026 World Cup.
Pulisic, who scored the initial goal, acknowledged the need for improvements and expressed optimism about the changes Pochettino will bring. ''It's time to turn the page and we really have to pick it up a level,'' he said.
