Indian Athletes Advance to Semifinals at Paris Paralympics

India's Prachi Yadav and Yash Kumar have qualified for the semifinals in their respective events at the Paris Paralympics. Indian athletes Prachi Yadav and Yash Kumar have successfully qualified for the semifinals in their respective events at the Paris Paralympics. Yadav and Yash finished fourth and sixth, respectively, in their heats for women's VL2 200m and men's KL1 200m on Friday.

In the heats, Prachi Yadav clocked a time of 1:06.83 in the women's VL2 200m event, while Yash Kumar posted a time of 1:03.27 in the men's KL1 200m. Pooja Ojha also participated, clocking 1:16.09 in her event.

The semifinals are set to occur on Saturday, with the top three athletes from each semifinal securing a spot in the finals. The winner of each heat automatically qualifies for the final. Yadav had previously finished eighth in the Women's VL2 final at the Tokyo Games, with KL1 and VL2 classifications defined based on the athletes' physical capabilities.
