London Games bronze medallist and India's Chef de Mission at the Paris Olympics, Gagan Narang, on Friday praised the country's para athletes for their remarkable performance at the ongoing Paralympics.

The Indian contingent has etched history with a record 25 medals, including 5 gold, 9 silver, and 11 bronze, placing them in the 16th spot of the medal tally. Despite not having conducted an analysis of the Paris Olympic Games, Narang highlighted the significant achievements of the para athletes.

'A fantastic effort by our Paralympians. They surpassed the Tokyo Paralympics medal tally, looking forward for more medals,' Narang shared at the Media Photojournalist Trust's photo exhibition event at the Press Club of India. He also commended the exhibition's showcased photography and emphasized the irreplaceable role of photographers in journalism.
