Injury Plague Hits Real Madrid: Eder Militao Exits Brazil’s Training
Eder Militao leaves Brazil's training camp due to a leg injury, missing South America's World Cup qualifiers. The Brazilian FA confirmed the injury, extending Real Madrid's injury troubles. Other players like Tchouameni, Mendy, Camavinga, Ceballos, Bellingham, and Alaba are also facing injury issues.
Real Madrid centre back Eder Militao has abruptly exited Brazil's training camp ahead of their South America World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay due to a leg injury, the Brazilian FA (CBF) confirmed on Thursday.
According to a CBF statement, 'Defender Eder Militao complained of muscle pain in his right thigh after training on Wednesday, and subsequent medical exams on Thursday revealed a small muscle injury in his right thigh.' As a result, Militao has been ruled out of Brazil's upcoming qualifying matches. The Brazilian FA extended its support and wished him a quick recovery.
Militao, 26, who was sidelined for much of last season with a torn ACL, is merely the latest of Real Madrid's players to grapple with injury woes at the season's start. Midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni and left back Ferland Mendy also departed France's camp ahead of their Nations League fixtures due to injuries sustained in Real's 2-0 victory over Real Betis on Sunday. Additionally, midfielders Eduardo Camavinga, Dani Ceballos, and Jude Bellingham have recently suffered injuries, while defender David Alaba is still recuperating from a previous ACL tear.
