Mohun Bagan Super Giant (MBSG) and East Bengal FC (EBFC) are set to embark on the 2024-25 Indian Super League (ISL) season. MBSG is focused on defending their title, while EBFC has bolstered its squad with significant summer signings.

The ISL Media Day showcased both familiar and fresh faces. Jose Molina, the new head coach for MBSG, stated, 'It's a process to prepare the team for the ISL. We have been working together for a month and there are still a few things to improve upon. We are confident in our players and the way we have trained until now.'

East Bengal FC's coach, Carles Cuadrat, stressed the importance of a strong start, devoid of last year's sluggishness. He said, 'It's a different season with different players, and hence I wouldn't like to compare to the last campaign.'

The ISL 2024-25 Media Day in Kolkata featured representatives from seven clubs: Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC, and NorthEast United FC. Mohammedan SC's new head coach, Andrey Chernyshov, expressed his pleasure in joining the ISL, highlighting their I-League victory and ambitions for playoff contention.

Odisha FC's head coach, Sergio Lobera, reflected on their impressive performance last year and their goals for this season. 'It was an amazing run and we want to replicate that this year,' he said.

Punjab FC, NorthEast United, and Jamshedpur FC had a close playoff challenge last season. NEUFC's coach, Benali, emphasized the importance of looking forward, while Jamshedpur FC's Khalid Jamil praised new ISL rules aimed at the development of Indian football.

Punjab FC's new coach, Panagiotis Dilmperis, spoke highly of their summer acquisitions, aiming for improved performance this season.
