Sports For All (SFA) on Wednesday revealed the SFA Championships 2024-25, set to occur across 10 Indian cities, engaging over 150,000 participants from upward of 7,000 esteemed sporting schools. Students will showcase their talents in 31 different sports. For the first time in its nine-year history, the championships will touch down in Dimapur, Nagaland. Registrations for the grand sports event are now open.

Since its start in Mumbai back in 2015, the SFA Championships have progressively grown, having hosted 21 successful events in cities like Hyderabad, Uttarakhand, Pune, Delhi, Bengaluru, Indore, Ahmedabad, and Jaipur. The 2024 series will launch on October 4 in Uttarakhand, and will culminate in Jaipur from December 6-16. SFA focuses on professionalizing, organizing, and monetizing grassroots sports, aiming to cultivate a sports-centric culture in India.

Rajas Joshi, Founding Member and COO of SFA, emphasized their mission beyond the championships. "At SFA, we strive to elevate grassroots and participative sports across India. By prioritizing athletes' needs and incorporating technology, we've developed a unified platform to unearth talent quickly across multiple sports. Our efforts have sparked sporting enthusiasm in over 350,000 young athletes from nearly 7,000 schools, helping build a resilient sporting nation," said Joshi. For the second time, the championships will be held in Delhi from October 5-15 at notable venues like Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Indira Gandhi Stadium. Previously, the Delhi edition saw participation from more than 6,200 athletes representing over 500 schools.

Offering participants aged 3-18 the chance to compete in 31 varied sports, the SFA Championships leverage technology with AI-powered match videos and tech-enabled fitness assessments, providing coaches and athletes with vital performance analytics for data-driven training decisions. (ANI)
