Indian para-athlete Amisha narrowly missed out on a medal in the F46 Shot Put at the ongoing Paris Paralympics, finishing 14th with a personal best of 9.25 meters. Despite her strong performance, it wasn't enough to secure a podium spot. Her first attempt was her best throw.

Dominating the podium in the event were Noelle Malkamaki of the USA, who set a new world record with a throw of 14.06 meters, Mariia Shpatkivska of Ukraine, who set an area record with a 12.35-meter throw to take silver, and New Zealand's Holly Robinson, who secured bronze with a throw of 11.88 meters. In men's para-lifting up to 49 kg, India's Parmjeet Kumar finished eighth with his best lift of 150 kg. The gold medal went to Jordan's Qarada Omar Sami Hamadeh, who lifted 181 kg, followed by Turkey's Abdullah Kayapinar with a 180 kg lift for silver and Vietnam's le van Cong with a 171 kg lift for bronze.

India's contingent has added 21 medals to its tally in this edition of the Paralympics, striving to surpass its previous best haul of 19 medals from Tokyo 2021. Para-athlete Sachin Khilari clinched a silver in the men's shot put F46 with a throw of 16.32 meters, marking another area best. Meanwhile, para-shooter Avani Lekhara secured India's first gold in the women's 10m air rifle with a personal best score of 249.7 points, while Manish Narwal claimed a silver in the men's 10m air pistol SH1 event. Additional highlights include Rubina Francis winning bronze in the P2 women's 10m air pistol SH-1 final and Nishad Kumar taking silver in the men's high jump T47 event with a leap of 2.04 meters.
