India's world champion Deepthi Jeevanji clinched a bronze medal in the women's 400m T20 category at the Paris Paralympics on Tuesday, clocking a time of 55.82 seconds.

Deepthi, who is set to celebrate her 21st birthday later this month, finished the race behind two formidable athletes: Yuliia Shuliar of Ukraine, who posted 55.16 seconds, and world record holder Aysel Onder of Turkey, with 55.23 seconds.

The T20 category is specifically designed for athletes with intellectual impairments, showcasing their exceptional athletic prowess on the global stage.
