Brendon McCullum Takes the Helm of England's White-Ball Cricket Teams
England's test head coach, Brendon McCullum, will also oversee their white-ball teams starting January next year, according to the ECB. England test head coach Brendon McCullum will also take charge of their white-ball teams from January next year, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Tuesday.
Replacing Matthew Mott, the 42-year-old former New Zealand captain will begin his white-ball tenure during England's tour of India in January. McCullum has extended his contract until the end of 2027, continuing his initial role which began in May 2022.
In the interim, former England batter Marcus Trescothick will serve as head coach for this month's series against Australia and the Caribbean tour starting in October. McCullum expressed his excitement about the new challenge and commended Rob Key's vision for the future of English cricket, emphasizing the benefits of a unified coaching structure.
