Benfica Acquires Turkish Star Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu from Galatasaray

Portuguese club Benfica has signed left winger Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu from Turkish side Galatasaray for 12 million euros. Additionally, Galatasaray will receive 10% of any future transfer fees. Akturkoglu is a member of the Turkish national team and scored 12 goals with seven assists in the 2023-2024 season.

Portugal's Benfica has signed left winger Muhammed Kerem Akturkoglu from Turkey's Galatasaray, according to an announcement from the Turkish club on Tuesday. The Primeira Liga club will pay a transfer fee of 12 million euros, as stated on the Public Disclosure Platform.

Galatasaray confirmed it would receive 10% of any subsequent transfer fee should Akturkoglu be moved from Benfica to another club. The 25-year-old player is also a member of the Turkish national team.

During the 2023-2024 Turkish Super League season, Akturkoglu scored 12 goals and provided seven assists in 37 matches.
