Following Manchester United's defeat to Liverpool in their Premier League clash, manager Erik Ten Hag praised the opposition for their 'clinical finishing' and attributed the three conceded goals to 'individual errors.' A standout performance from Luis Diaz, who netted twice, highlighted United's 0-3 loss, their second in three games against Liverpool on Sunday.

After the match, Ten Hag told Sky Sports, 'We made mistakes, and they were very clinical in finishing; they did very well. All three goals were mistakes from us—individual errors. Maybe you can debate the last one, but Liverpool did brilliantly. The turnover and their finishing were exceptional.'

'Aside from the goals, the game was even. It's clear Liverpool deserved to win. We need to be humble, accept this, and improve our game,' he added. Diaz capitalized on Casemiro's errors in the first half, while Mohammed Salah sealed the victory with a second-half strike.

Although Liverpool had a goal disallowed by VAR in the sixth minute, United fans' relief was short-lived. A poor pass from Casemiro led to Ryan Gravenberch setting up Diaz for the opening goal in the 35th minute. Six minutes later, another mistake from Casemiro allowed Salah to assist Diaz for Liverpool's second goal.

At halftime, Casemiro was substituted for 20-year-old Toby Collyer, prompting Kobbie Mainoo to play deeper. However, Mainoo's dispossession by Alexis Mac Allister led to Dominik Szoboszlai setting up Salah for the third goal in the 56th minute. Addressing Casemiro's performance, Ten Hag supported the player, saying, 'He knows the game. He is a great player, and we will improve as a team.'

'Casemiro has shown his great character and decisive presence in midfield in the past. He will bounce back,' Ten Hag concluded. With three wins in three matches, Liverpool sits second in the league with nine points, while United lingers in 14th place with just three points from one win and two losses. (ANI)
