Preethi Pal has created history as she became the first Indian woman track and field athlete to win two medals at the Paralympics, clinching bronze in both the 100m and 200m T35 categories at the Paris Games.

The 23-year-old athlete demonstrated remarkable prowess, achieving a personal best time of 30.01 seconds in the 200m event. This follows her earlier bronze in the 100m T35 category, secured with a time of 14.21 seconds.

Her triumph continues India's legacy in para-athletic achievements, complemented by Nishad Kumar who clinched a second successive silver in the men's high jump T47 category, with a season's best effort of 2.04m.
