Jordan Spieth was in Colorado last week, not for the FedEx Cup playoffs, but for surgery on his troubled left wrist. Spieth believes the procedure, performed on August 21 in Vail, will resolve issues that have afflicted him for over 15 months.

The operation involved reconstructing the sheath that holds the tendon connecting his forearm to his wrist. Doctors also removed bone chips and cleaned up the triangular fibrocartilage complex.

"I feel relief and confidence that this will solve my problems," Spieth stated. Recovery is expected to take about three months, and Spieth aims to return to putting in eight weeks and make a full swing by the twelfth week.
