Punjab FC Signs Asmir Suljic Ahead of Indian Super League

Punjab FC has enlisted winger Asmir Suljic from Bosnia and Herzegovina as their final foreign signing for the upcoming Indian Super League, which kicks off on September 13.

While the contract details remain under wraps, the 32-year-old winger is set to make his debut appearance in India. His career began with Butmir in his youth, progressing to make his senior debut with Sarajevo in 2010. Since then, Suljic has played for multiple clubs across Europe, including Újpest, Videoton, Olimpija Ljubljana, Zagłębie Lubin, Maccabi Petah Tikva, Diósgyőr, Tobol, and Velež Mostar. Over his career, he has featured in 378 competitive matches and scored 41 goals.

Suljic is not short of accolades, having won the Hungarian Cup and Hungarian Super Cup with Újpest, the Hungarian League with Videoton, and the Slovenian Cup with Olimpija Ljubljana. "We are excited to have Asmir Suljic in our ranks for the season. He is an experienced player who will be vital for us both on and off the field. I wish him a wonderful and successful season with us," remarked Nikolaos Topoliatis, PFC's Technical Director.
