Indian para sprinter Preeti Pal secured a bronze medal in the 100m T35 event at the Paris Paralympics, clocking a personal best of 14.21 seconds. Pal expressed her disbelief and pride at the achievement, highlighting the support and motivation she received from fans.

China's Xia Zhou and Qianqian Guo took the gold and silver medals, respectively, finishing with season-best and personal best times. Preeti Pal's previous accolades include bronze medals in the 100m and 200m events at the 2024 World Para Athletics Championship, securing her spot in Paris.

In other events, Avani Lekhara claimed gold in the women's 10m air rifle final, while Mona Agarwal bagged bronze. Manish Narwal added to India's tally with a silver in the men's 10m air pistol SH1 final. India's largest-ever Paralympics contingent, with 84 athletes across 12 sports, aims to exceed its Tokyo 2020 success, where the country won 19 medals.
