Tokyo Games gold medallist shooter Manish Narwal displayed immense courage and determination before securing a silver medal in the men's 10m air pistol (SH1) final at the Paralympic Games on Friday.

The 22-year-old, who had previously won the 50m pistol gold in Tokyo, aimed for another top finish in Paris. Moving from the fifth to the top position, Manish's quest for gold was thwarted by a series of poor shots in the '9s,' resulting in a silver medal with a score of 234.9.

Veteran South Korean marksman Jo Jeongdu seized the moment, clinching gold with a score of 237.4, narrowly missing the Paralympic record. Despite the setback, Manish's father, Dilbag, acknowledged his son's significant achievement and reflected on the family's dedication and hardships in supporting his shooting career.
