The Sports Authority of India (SAI) and Glenmark Aquatic Foundation (GAF) have inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art swimming training centre at Gandhinagar's Netaji Subhash Western Centre.

The memorandum of understanding for this strategic partnership was signed in Delhi on Thursday.

Primarily aimed at swimmers aged 6 to 14, the centre will offer world-class facilities and coaching expertise led by South African coach Ian Els. Designed to focus on foundational skills, technique refinement, and physical conditioning, the program will also foster a passion for swimming within a Long Term Athlete Development Model framework.

SAI stated, ''We are proud to partner with Glenmark Aquatic Foundation once again in our mission to develop national swimming talent. This centre symbolizes our dedication to nurturing young athletes with premier resources and training environments.
