Theegala is making his debut at this prestigious event alongside Indian-American Akshay Bhatia and Indo-British Aaron Rai. Rai, starting at even par, excelled with a five-under round, tying him at 14th place. Bhatia, starting at two-under, scored an additional one-under 70, securing the 25th spot among 30 participants.

Top players received advantageous starting strokes based on their FedExCup rankings. Scottie Scheffler began with a 10-under, maintaining his lead with a 65 to reach 16-under.
