Nongiri Presbyterian Secondary School from Meghalaya clinched the Sub-Junior Boys title in the 63rd Subroto Cup International Football Tournament, defeating Major Dhyanchand Sports College of Uttar Pradesh with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday.

Prosperwell Ryntong netted two goals, while Namebanlam Nongkseh scored the third at the Army Service Corps Centre. The trophy was presented by Air Marshal Nagesh Kapoor, Indian badminton star HS Prannoy, and athlete Ashwini Akkunji.

Nongiri Presbyterian took an early lead and continued to dominate, coming close to scoring multiple times in the first half. Prosperwell doubled the lead in the second half, and Namebanlam ensured victory with the third goal. Nongiri Presbyterian received Rs. 4,00,000, while the runner-up got Rs. 2,00,000.
