England has announced its 15-player squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, recognizing stellar performances from their recent domestic competition.

Regular captain Heather Knight will lead the team, with new inclusions such as spinner Linsey Smith and pacer Lauren Bell making the cut. Unfortunately, experienced opener Tammy Beaumont and seamer Kate Cross are among the notable omissions.

Drawn in Group B, England will face Bangladesh, Scotland, South Africa, and the West Indies in the tournament. Skipper Heather Knight expressed her excitement about the squad and the upcoming challenge in the UAE.

"World Cups are always special, and I'm thrilled with our selected squad. It's an honor to lead this team into another World Cup. We're ready for the challenges and opportunities ahead," Knight said, as quoted by the ICC. Head coach Jon Lewis added, "Our squad is well-balanced with a mix of experience, youth, and the skills needed to excel in UAE conditions."
