Amad Diallo Rejoins Ivory Coast Squad for Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Qualifiers

Manchester United's Amad Diallo has been recalled to the Ivory Coast national team as they begin the defense of their Africa Cup of Nations title. Diallo was last capped in March 2023 and missed the February tournament. The squad also includes debutants Benie Traore and Mario Dorgeles.

Amad Diallo Rejoins Ivory Coast Squad for Africa Cup of Nations 2025 Qualifiers

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo has been called back to the Ivory Coast national squad for the first time in 18 months, as the team begins their defense of the Africa Cup of Nations title. The 22-year-old last appeared for the Ivorians in March 2023 and missed their Cup of Nations triumph in February on home soil.

Ivory Coast is set to begin its campaign to qualify for the next finals in Morocco by playing against Zambia at home in Bouake on September 6, followed by an away match against Chad on September 10. Coach Emerse Fae has added Diallo to a 25-man squad for these qualifiers, which also features first-time call-ups for Swiss-based striker Benie Traore and Danish club Nordsjaelland midfielder Mario Dorgeles.

The squad announcement also includes other prominent players: goalkeepers Yahia Fofana, Mohamed Kone, and Badra Ali Sangare; defenders Emmanuel Agbadou, Willy Boly, Ousmane Diomande, Guela Doue, Odilon Kossonou, Evan Ndicka, Christopher Operi, Wilfried Singo, Abakar Sylla; midfielders Mohamed Diomande, Mario Dorgeles, Franck Kessie, Ibrahim Sangare, Jean Michael Seri; and forwards Simon Adingra, Oumar Diakite, Sebastien Haller, Christian Kouame, Emmanuel Lath, and Benie Traore.
