India is gearing up for its Women's T20 World Cup campaign with crucial warm-up matches scheduled against West Indies and South Africa in Dubai, as announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Tuesday.
Harmanpreet Kaur and her team will clash with West Indies on September 29, followed by a match against South Africa on October 1. All ten teams that have qualified for the tournament will play two warm-up games each, starting from September 28.
The ICC shifted the competition to the UAE due to ongoing political unrest in Bangladesh. The warm-up games will feature 20 overs per side and permit teams to field their entire 15-player squad without impacting international T20 status.
