Sweden's pole vault sensation, Mondo Duplantis, shattered his own world record by clearing 6.26 meters at the Silesia Diamond League meeting. This marks the tenth time the 24-year-old has set a new high in the sport, surpassing his previous record of 6.25 meters achieved when he clinched the Olympic gold in Paris.

Duplantis, already a crowd favorite, had the audience in Chorzow, Poland, on the edge of their seats as he surpassed his own benchmark at the Silesia Stadium. After a disappointing first attempt, Duplantis soared on his second try, much to the exhilaration of the spectators.

The event also featured notable performances from Olympic silver medalist Sam Kendricks of the United States and Paris bronze-medalist Emmanouil Karalis of Greece. Additionally, Norway's Jakob Ingebrigtsen shattered the long-standing 3,000 meters world record, clocking in at 7 minutes and 17.55 seconds.
