Fatima Sana Appointed Captain for Pakistan in ICC Women’s T20 World Cup
The Pakistan Cricket Board has appointed 22-year-old Fatima Sana as the captain for the women’s team in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in UAE. She replaces Nida Dar, who remains in the squad despite a recent poor run. Fatima previously led Pakistan in domestic cricket.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially named 22-year-old Fatima Sana as the new captain of the women's cricket team for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE, taking place from October 3-20.
Nida Dar, 37, who has been experiencing a decline in performance, is replaced but retained in the squad. Under her captaincy, the team faced series defeats in England and a semi-final exit in the Women's Asia Cup.
Fatima, a bowling allrounder with 41 ODIs and 40 T20Is to her name, boasts previous leadership experience, including a notable ODI victory against New Zealand. She will be joined in the World Cup by at least ten players from the last edition. Sadaf Shamas is recalled, replacing Najiha Alvi, who will serve as a reserve player.
