Jaspooran Singh has emerged as the sole remaining Indian wrestler in medal contention at the U17 World Championship, advancing to the 110kg bronze play-off.

After a first-round defeat, Jaspooran rallied in the repechage round, securing victory by fall against Japan's Yuki Yamamoto, setting up a match against Iran's Abolfazl Mohammad Nezhad.

Other Indian wrestlers, including Shivam, Kartik, Sitender, Nishant Ruhul, and Sunny, were eliminated in their respective events. The Indian women's team clinched the team championship with eight medals, five of which were gold.
