The East Delhi Riders claimed a commanding 7-wicket triumph over the South Delhi Superstarz during the Delhi Premier League T20 at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Thursday. Pursuing a target of 192, the Riders' openers Anuj Rawat and Sujal Singh delivered a blistering start.

Effortlessly finding the boundaries, the duo propelled East Delhi Riders to 86/0 by the end of the powerplay. Anuj Rawat, contributing 34 runs, was dismissed by Ayush Badoni, but Sujal Singh continued the charge, achieving a quickfire 50 off 19 balls. Supported by Captain Himmat Singh, Sujal accumulated seven boundaries and three sixes before Digvesh Tripathi ended his innings.

Hardik Sharma and Samarth Seth ensured victory, crafting a 50-run partnership in 34 balls. Hardik added a vital 38 runs from 24 deliveries, while Samarth scored 24 off 20 balls. The duo secured the target with seven wickets intact and 13 balls to spare.

Earlier, the East Delhi Riders opted to bowl first and got an immediate breakthrough as Simarjeet Singh dismissed Sarthak Ray for two runs. Captain Ayush Badoni formed a 67-run stand with Priyansh Arya. Despite a robust 32 off 20 balls from Ayush, the South Delhi Superstarz faltered after reaching 108/3.

Priyansh Arya's half-century off 30 balls featured five boundaries and three sixes, but his dismissal led to a collapse. Dhruv Singh and Sumit Mathur's late contributions pushed the total to 191/7 in 20 overs. For the Riders, Mayank Rawat and Harsh Tyagi were pivotal, claiming two wickets each.
