Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi led a grand celebration at Kalinga Stadium on Wednesday in honor of the Indian Hockey team's remarkable Bronze Medal win at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The prestigious event celebrated the team's achievement in the presence of thousands of supporters.
The Indian hockey team, captained by Harmanpreet Singh and featuring Odia star Amit Rohidas, clinched the Bronze Medal with a decisive victory over Spain. The 'Vijay Utsav' commenced with an energetic parade from Biju Patnaik Airport to Kalinga Stadium, where the nation's sporting heroes were lauded by thousands of participants and hundreds of folk artists.
This grand celebration underscored Odisha's unwavering support for hockey, a sentiment echoed by Sports Minister Suryabanshi Suraj.
