Manchester City's England midfielder Phil Foden clinched the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Player of the Year award on Tuesday. His stellar performances were instrumental in Manchester City's record fourth straight Premier League title, supported by a total of 27 goals in 53 games last season, which included triumphs in the UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup, and runners-up status in the FA Cup.

Foden expressed immense gratitude, acknowledging the honor bestowed by his peers. 'Winning this award is something very special and I am very proud and grateful for it. To be recognised in this way by your peers means everything,' he shared. He extended thanks to his coach Pep Guardiola, City staff, and teammates for their support.

Foden edged out competition from City teammates Erling Haaland, Rodri, Chelsea's Cole Palmer, and Arsenal's Martin Odegaard, among others. Chelsea's Palmer took home the Young Player of the Year accolade, while City's Khadija Shaw and Grace Clinton were recognized in the women's categories.
