The Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) has appointed Satya Prakash Sangwan as the Chef de Mission for the Indian team at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, as announced on Tuesday. Sangwan, who also serves as the Vice President of PCI, comes with over a decade of dedicated experience in the Paralympic movement.

In his pivotal role as Chef de Mission, Sangwan will lead India's largest-ever contingent of 84 para-athletes competing across 12 sports disciplines. His responsibilities include ensuring comprehensive support and guidance for the team, overseeing seamless operations, and fostering a positive environment to inspire peak performance.

Expressing his gratitude, Sangwan said, "It is a great honour to be entrusted with this responsibility.
