Relishing the prospect of the opening Test against Bangladesh as the lone spinner, all-rounder Salman Ali Agha exuded confidence on Sunday about excelling in the dual role.
"I have experience playing as the lone spinner in Australia. When I bat, I'm a batsman; when I bowl, I'm a bowler," Salman told the media.
The selectors sidelined specialist spinner Abrar Ahmed, naming Salman to bat at number seven and as the sole spinner, opting for a four-pace attack considering the pitch conditions.
Salman stated his readiness for the challenging role, noting his familiarity with pace-friendly pitches from domestic cricket.
