Vinesh Phogat received a grand reception upon her arrival from the Paris Olympics, despite her disqualification for being overweight. Hailing from the village of Balali, she expressed her desire to train young women wrestlers to achieve greater success than she has.
Her journey from Delhi to Balali took 13 hours, marked by numerous celebrations organized by her supporters and local panchayats. At her native village, Vinesh addressed her well-wishers, urging them to support emerging women wrestlers.
Despite her recent Olympic setback, Vinesh remains resolved to continue her fight against the Wrestling Federation of India. The support from her community has renewed her spirit, and she hopes to channel that courage into future endeavors.
