The Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) revealed the official logo for the Kerala Cricket League (KCL) on Friday during a ceremonial event.

International cricketer Sanju Samson, who is the KCL icon, launched the logo in the presence of team franchises.

The logos of the individual franchises were also showcased, marking a significant milestone ahead of the league. The KCA announced that the player auction for the KCL is scheduled for Saturday, August 10, at the Hyatt Regency, starting at 10 AM. Renowned Charu Sharma conducted an auction briefing, followed by a mock auction to familiarize the franchises with the process.

The Kerala Cricket League matches will take place at Greenfield International Stadium from September 2 to 19. Fans can look forward to two thrilling games each day, including day and night matches. Legendary actor and KCL brand ambassador Mohanlal will officially launch the league on August 31, 2024, at 12 noon at the Hyatt Regency.

A total of 168 players have been shortlisted for the auction, with each franchise acquiring 20 players. Players are categorized into: Category A (IPL and Ranji Trophy experience) with a base salary of Rs two lakh, Category B (C K Naidu, U-23, U-19 State, and U-19 Challengers players) with a base salary of Rs one lakh, and Category C (U-16 state players, university players, and club cricketers) with a base salary of Rs 50,000. Each player will be auctioned to the highest bidder, with the auction broadcast live on Star Sports Three and Fancode.

Icon players like P A Abdul Basit (Trivandrum Royals), Sachin Baby (Kollam Sailors), Mohammad Azharuddin (Alleppey Ripples), Basil Thambi (Kochi Blue Tigers), Vishnu Vinod (Thrissur Titans), and Rohan S Kunnammal (Calicut Globestars) have already been selected for the league.
