Deepa Malik Applauds Manu Bhaker's Historic Olympic Feat

Paralympic medallist Deepa Malik has lauded ace shooter Manu Bhaker for etching her name into the annals of Indian sports history by becoming the first athlete in independent India to clinch two medals at the same Olympics.
Bhaker celebrated her prowess by winning bronze in both the 10m air pistol event for women and the mixed team event alongside Sarabjot Singh. She is set to compete in the 25m sports pistol qualifications on August 2.
'I heartily congratulate Manu Bhaker. She is a very bright girl and I am glad she never gave up after her Tokyo heartbreak. She has emerged stronger and given India true joy to smile and celebrate,' Deepa Malik stated. She also highlighted the pride felt as an Indian woman, comparing Bhaker's achievements to Mirabai Chanu's silver medal win at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
