'Our shooters continue to make us proud! Congratulations to Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh for winning the Bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team event at the Olympics. 'For Manu, this is her second consecutive Olympic medal, demonstrating consistent excellence and dedication,' he added.
Prime Minister Modi also directly congratulated Singh and praised the chemistry between him and Bhaker. Bhaker displayed remarkable composure, while Singh played an ideal supporting role as the pair won the 10m air pistol mixed team bronze, defeating South Korea to make Olympic history.
The Indian pair defeated South Korea 16-10 to earn the country's second medal at the Games. Bhaker notably became the first Indian post-independence to win two medals in a single edition of the Olympics, adding to her earlier bronze in the women's 10m air pistol event.
