Sindhu, eyeing her third Olympic medal, showcased her superiority by swiftly defeating Razzaq 21-9 21-6 in just 29 minutes. Despite a few early errors, Sindhu quickly gained control, taking a commanding 11-4 lead. The first game was over in a mere 13 minutes.
The second game followed a similar pattern, with Sindhu leading early. Though Razzaq managed to close the gap to 3-4, Sindhu surged ahead to 10-3 and eventually clinched the match convincingly.
