Axar Patel has praised new T20I skipper Suryakumar Yadav, describing him as a captain who grants bowlers the liberty to execute their strategies. Patel's remarks came after India's commanding 43-run victory over Sri Lanka in the first match of a three-game series.
"I played in the last Australia series with Surya bhai (as captain). I know that he is a bowlers' captain. He gives you free hand (in a way) that you decide first," Patel said during a post-match press conference.
The team aims to capitalize on their versatile batting lineup to outmaneuver opponents. The new coaching staff, led by Gautam Gambhir, promises minimal changes in team dynamics, focusing instead on consistency and performance.
