Hansi Flick is counting on Lamine Yamal and Barcelona's crop of young talents to ensure a strong beginning at his new club. Yamal, a standout player at the European Championship, turned 17 a day before Spain triumphed over England in the final.

"What Yamal did in the Euros is unbelievable," Flick remarked during his official presentation, two months after joining Barcelona. Yamal's performances included outshining Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé in the semifinals by becoming the youngest scorer in tournament history at 16.

Flick, who succeeded Xavi Hernández on a two-year contract, praised other young players like Ansu Fati and 17-year-old Pau Cubarsí. Despite financial struggles, Barcelona's famed La Masia academy continues to produce fresh talent.
