Fenerbahce have signed Morocco forward Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla, the Turkish club announced on Thursday.

En-Nesyri has committed to a five-year contract, with reports indicating that Fenerbahce paid a 20 million euro ($21.70 million) fee, setting a new club record. The previous highest transfer fee Fenerbahce paid was 15 million euros to Olympique de Marseille for Cengiz Under.

The 27-year-old forward has had a fruitful career in Spain, joining Sevilla from Leganes in 2020, scoring 51 goals in 143 LaLiga games and helping the club secure two Europa League titles. He has also been a significant player for Morocco, netting 20 goals in 73 games and participating in four African Cup of Nations tournaments. Fenerbahce, who finished as runners-up in last season's Turkish Super Lig, are currently managed by Jose Mourinho.
